About Salem

An RPG, turn-based adventure featuring Salem and his plush friend Buttons that protects him! Explore the large lonely mansion occupied by Salem and his mother and discover the twisted secret behind the walls. As traumatic events occur both in and out of battle, Salem’s fear will increase and self-efficacy will decrease, impairing the battle capabilities of him and Buttons.

This unique fear mechanic emphasizes the emotional exhaustion that a child like Salem goes through at the hands of his mother.

This game was the product of a discussion our team had regarding games that we liked growing up, mainly RPG and horror. As we were pitching ideas to one another the classic trope of a lost child came up and we developed that further into the concept of a child seemingly lost in his own home.
